Randy Rice , M.D.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Randy Rice to the Clinic and
Community. Dr. Rice will be practicing at Gateway Clinic-Moose
Lake, and will be starting on Monday, July 31st. Dr. Rice is a
graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School in
Minneapolis, and the Family Practice Residency in Duluth, MN
Dr. Rice has 13 years experience practicing in rural
Minnesota, and is committed to providing the full spectrum of
family medicine. In addition, Dr. Rice has particular
interests in obstetrics (including c-sections), diabetes care,
and encouraging exercise for the average person.
After being diagnosed with diabetes two years ago, Dr. Rice
has become an "adult-onset athlete," finding a new interest in
biking, running, and other exercise, losing 100 pounds along
the way. This summer, he ran Grandma's Marathon, his first.
Dr. Rice is married to Ramona and has two sons, Robin, age 15,
and Lowell, age 13. He and his family also enjoy music,
camping, interesting foods and cooking, and are very involved
with church activities.
Dr. Rice is currently serving as president of the Minnesota
