We are experiencing exciting times at GFHC as we prepare to serve you in 2013 with a new electronic health record that will improve your patient care experience! Easy first steps that you could begin to take now in preparation for these changes include always contacting your pharmacy at least 48 hours before needing your refills and ask your pharmacy to process your refill request, rather than calling in directly to the provider here in the clinic. This will be an important issue as we transition to e-prescribing as of 2013.
Also, please be aware that it is likely our schedules will have less access for non-acute issues during the months of January and February, 2013. If you usually plan a preventive visit during those months, please consider scheduling that visit either after those months, or call now for scheduling availability through December.
Next month we will share more information with you about the changes you can expect in the upcoming months.
